Dear ladies and gentlemen
I am Chin Sokha (Sok), Director of Cambodia Children Sanctuary Organization (CCS), providing a shelter for poor, homeless and orphaned children and support education in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. I would like to welcome you to the Cambodia Children Sanctuary Organization (CCS) website. This is an exciting time for me in both my projects and my personal life.
The CCS, Non-Government Organization, was established on 07 December 2007 (previously known as CCSA formed in 2006). The CCS is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established to assist children in receiving their basic rights for food, shelter, protection and education. At CCS, we believe every life has equal value and each person is worthy of the chance of having a better way of life. As one who received a chance and has succeeded in life because of CCS’s support, I know how valuable chances are. The purpose of our programs is to give these vulnerable groups the same opportunity as others by contributing our time and effort to support their independence. You will find ways to support our projects through this website under the Sponsorship and Project sections. You can also donate directly to CCS under the Donate section of the website.
Please be sure to visit the CCS orphanage and learn more about our children and our projects ! A donation for even just one of the children from you will also help others. If you look at our photo section you will be able to see the various activities that children enjoy. These activities have been donated by voluntary teachers and generous visitors, many of whom have given their times and resources, adding to the opportunities we can offer our children, such as Khmer traditional dance, computer skill, music, and sports activities. I would like all these wonderful people to know how thankful we all are for their generous efforts on behalf of our children. We appreciate each and every one of them.
We also appreciate the adults who work at CCS as a volunteer. No salaries are paid, but they are very supportive and wonderful with children. They share basic but healthy life-style, and eat simple but nutritious meals with the children.
CCS has been providing 32 children with shelter, sustenance through meals served three times every day, daily supplies such as clothes , shoes, mosquito nets, blankets, mattresses, medical supplies, school supplies, education supplies, rice supplies, and other basic necessities. We do not have running water or electricity on site. We especially need electricity which keeps the computer going to maintain this website! The CCS children spend three hours every day learning languages. Thanks to the teachers whose wage has been supported by a donor from US family people that who compassion around the world
Please do visit the CCS orphanage and learn more about our children and our projects!
CCS ’s main source of funding is provided by the generous tourists and volunteers who visit the orphanage when sightseeing in Siem Reap.
By choosing to donate to our urgent running costs, your contribution will go directly towards buying rice, food, fruits, vegetables, meats, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste. It will also go toward electricity and basic medical supplies which are very important for daily life.
Thank you very much for spending your time to read our project carefully.
I would like to wish you a good luck and good health.
Warm regards,
Mr Sok
Director of the volunteer children staff.
